Pauls Valley, Oklahoma ? Opal F. Cook of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Major and Eunice (Teague) Bonner on June 12, 1912 in Kingston, Oklahoma and passed from this life on February 16, 2011 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 98 years.
Mrs. Cook grew up and attended school in Kingston and Woodville, Oklahoma. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Kingston.
For nearly 24 years, Mrs. Cook was employed as a Hostess for the Lake Texhoma Lodge. After her retirement, Opal couldn?t sit still so she became a health care provider as a way of being involved and caring for people.
The highlights of her life were her grandson and great-grandson.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her daughter: Erma Jean Vann and husband Charles of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; grandson: Bill Vann of Wapanuka, Oklahoma; and 1 great-grandson: Bryson Vann of Ada, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sons, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cook are scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Oklahoma.
