    His will was written 20 March 1815, recorded in Union County, PA, 10 Jun 1816. The will was written in German, signed Kilin Dunck.
    It was transcribed before it was recorded. Heirs: Sons: Jacob, Peter, Johannes, George, and Daughters: Elisabeth, Rosina, Magdalena, Eva and Catharina.

    "In the Name of God Amen. I, Killian Dunckel, living in Buffalloe Township, Union County and State of Pennsylvania, have by me considered and agreed after I have becom to a high age by the grase of God, and as my life in a short time may end, and I like all other mortal people will have to leave this world, having also made this my testament and last will by good memory and full _____ designated and specified the same as following.
    First of all I command my Soul to my Redeemer, Jesus, in his grace full hands and my body to the earth to be buried in a honestly and christian like manner for which my herein mentioned Executor shall take care and the costs thereof as soon as pofsible out of my remaining Estate after my death pay off.
    Secondly, whatever my remainder of my estate at touching the same it is my will and testament that my sons, namely, Jacob, Peter, John (the German will says Johannes) and George Dunckel, each of them one hundred pounds current money first of all more as my Daughters shall have.
    Thirdly, it is my will that my Daughters, namely, Elisabeth, Rosina, Magdalena, Eva, and Catharine or any one of them or their bodily heirs shall as then with my four sons comin in equaly shares excepted what I have before given and bequeathed to my Sons, whatsoever my Sons or Daughters or their husbands in money already have received which to them regular is charged shall by my hereafter mentioned Executor each of them be charged on their shares.
    Fourthly, I appoint my beloved Son, Peter Dunckel, as my Executor as for my whole Estate, and in the remaining of this my last will and testament, I do allow my Executor no more but two hundred dollars for his pains and trouble as Executor, the losts which may arrise shall all out of my remaining Estate be paid.
    Finally it is my will that if one or the other of my children should be that would not be with my will satisfied shall be totally deducted as Heirs.
    In witnefs this have I mentioned, Kellian Dunckel this my last will and Testament with my own hands under signed and sealed so on this 20th day of March 1815. Signed Kilin Dunckel. (Signed, sealed, published pronounced by Killian Dunckel, Testator of his last will and testament in presence of us and at his request and on every side presence our names as witnefses hereby signed: John Rentochler and John Tilman. Recorded 10 June 1816.

    His son, Peter, was named Executor and in his record of accounts, he charged the estate $35.56 "for a debt due him by deceased for boarding in his lifetime to wit, from the 1st October 1815 to 4th June 1816." I believe from this his death date is 04 June 1816. Peter also paid out of the estate: "Also for food and drink furnished at the funeral: $10.00." Also "Cash paid Mrs. Rensler for making shroud, etc., for deceased: $1.00; Cash paid S. Snyder for copy of will in German: $.95."

    Johann Keleain and Mary Magdalene Dunckel had the following children:

    2 Mary Magdalene DUNCKEL was christened August 19, 1764 at Richmond Twp., Berks Co., PA and md. Henry Kelchner.

    3 Jacob DUNCKEL was born March 28, 1766 at Greenwich Twp, Berks Co., PA. Jacob died April 27, 1817 at Buffalo Valley, Pennsylvania. Jacob was buried at Dreisbach Ch. Cem., Lewisburg, PA and md. Anna Catharine Shoemaker.

    4 Catharine DUNCKEL (Twin) was born March 14, 1768. Catharine was christened April 4, 1768 at Dunkel Church, Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., PA.

    5 Maria Eva DUNCKEL (Twin) was born March 14, 1768. Maria was christened April 4, 1768 at Ref. Ch., Greenwich Twp., Berks Co, PA and md. George Heinly.

    6 Catharina DUNCKEL was born 12 May 1771 (according to her tombstone) and died 7 Jul 1825 in Berks Co., PA. She md. John Glass.

    7 John Sr. DUNKLE (Twin) was born February 8, 1775 at Greenwich Twp, Berks Co., PA. John was christened April 30, 1775 at Dunkel Church, Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., PA. John died February 10, 1835 at Vinton Co., OH. John was buried at Old McArthur Cemetery, Vinton Co., OH. John's wife's first name was Elizabeth. Her maiden name could have been Markel.

    8 Anna Maria DUNCKEL (Twin) was born February 8, 1775. Anna was christened April 30, 1775 at Dunkel Church, Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., PA.

    9 George S. DUNCKEL was born August 23, 1779 at Greenwich Twp, Berks Co., PA. George died August 3, 1844 at Saltcreek Twp., Pickaway Co., OH. George was buried at Stumpf Cemetery, Laurelville, OH. He md. Mary Magdalene Heinly.
