William E. Wisser was the son of Hezekiah Wisser and Elizabeth (Miller) Deisher.

Wisser, William E.William E. Wisser, of Mertztown, who died Thursday evening at the Sacred Heart hospital, aged 26 years, 6 months and 13 days, was a native of Lehigh county. He was a son of Ezekiel and Elizabeth (nee Deisher) Wisser. Mr. Wisser's death was the result of an early childhood illness, when he was afflicted with a falling ailment. He was considered well enough physically to pass the draft board examination and served four months at Camp Meade. He was honorably discharged because of physical disability. He was placed by the government in the Sacred Heart hospital for treatment. The remains were removed to this parents' home yesterday by Undertaker C. Schmoyer. He is survived by his parents, four brothers, Irwin and Edwin, Catasauqua; Allen, this city, and Edwin, Mertztown; and these sisters: Mrs. Herbert Pauley, Mertztown; Mrs. Edwin Kline, Topton; Mrs. Howard Dry, Maxatawney; Mrs. Alfred Leiby, Ashfield, and Mrs. Charles Frey, Kutztown. The funeral will be held Wednesday forenoon from his parents' home at Mertztown. Services will be conducted at the house at 9.30 a.m. Continued services and burial at Ziegel church, Rev. Keller officiating. Mr. Wisser was a member of the Lutheran congregation at Ziegel's church and of Washington Camp, No. 141, P.O.S. of A., at Maxatawney. |
