Robert E. Wisser, 91, formerly of Slatington R.1, died Monday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Annie A. (Smith) Wisser. He owned and operated the former Newside General Store for 20 years until retiring in 1969. He previously was a farmer in the Lehigh Valley. Born in South Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Oliver F. and Amanda L. (Hammel) Wisser. He was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church, New Tripoli R.2. Survivors: Daughters, Dorothy, wife of Curtis Warmkessel, with whom he formerly resided, Mrs. Betty Peters and June, wife of Ronald Hunsicker, both of Slatington R.1, Pauline, wife of Wallace Schleicher of Slatington R.3, and Mrs. Ruth Greenawald of Schnecksville; son, Kenneth R. of Deltona Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Sevilla Seidel of Emmaus and Mrs. Beulah Weidner of Allentown; brother George of Trexlertown; 26 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Thomas F., and William O. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Keller Funeral Home, 20 N. Church St., Fogelsville.
