MARRIAGES and CHILDREN:
Peter Cornell is shown married to Zella in the 1900 census along with their daughter Sara Jane Cornell.
Peter Cornell was married to Bertha May Vogelsang on March 27, 1901 and had the following known childeren:
The 1900 census detail helps clarify who was Peter's first wife. Some sites list Rosa as Peter's wife, but she was actually Fred's wife. The placement on the census can be confusing, but if you look at the number of years married it becomes clear. Fred and Rosa were married for 4 years, while Peter and Zella are still listed as 0 years.
Thier parents Stephan and Jane have been married for 30 years. Jane has given birth to 10 children and only 5 survive. In 11 more years she will lose at least one more. Peter will die in a logging accident.
